Max Weber and Ernst Toller: realists or idealists?Center for Social and Political Thought, University of South Florida, International Social Theory Consortium, csa-t{at}web.de Max Weber and Ernst Toller are regarded as political opposites with the former viewed as the responsible realist and the latter as an ethical idealist. I argue that this contrast between the two is not as great as is customarily thought.
